Leaders Mourn Lives Lost in Odisha Rail Tragedy

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other political leaders expressed condolences for the loss of lives in the recent rail accident in Odisha’s Balasore. Reportedly, over 50 people died and over 150 were injured. The President expressed deep anguish over the unfortunate accident, while the Prime Minister spoke to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and offered assistance. Vaishnaw announced compensation for those affected and rushed to the accident site. The leaders conveyed their thoughts and prayers to the families of those affected and urged rescue teams to expedite their efforts. The NDRF team and other state government teams are providing aid, and Congress workers are urged to extend support for the rescue efforts. Rahul Gandhi also expressed his condolences and urged Congress workers to offer their support.
