The law and order situation in Rajasthan is deteriorating, according to Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Rathore criticized Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s government, stating that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can assist in improving the situation. He claimed that Rajasthan’s reputation has been tarnished due to mismanagement of the law and order situation.
These comments came in response to Gehlot’s earlier press conference, in which he launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Modi. Gehlot accused Modi of failing to visit Manipur, where a video of two women being paraded naked and assaulted went viral, causing widespread outrage. Gehlot argued that Modi’s words referring to incidents in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have hurt the sentiments of Rajasthan.
Gehlot further suggested that Modi should have held a meeting to address the situation in Manipur. On Thursday, Modi mentioned the recent sexual assaults in Manipur and called on all Chief Ministers to tighten law and order, specifically mentioning Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. He emphasized that the dignity of women should be above politics.
The ongoing conflict between the BJP and Congress in Rajasthan highlights the critical issues surrounding law and order in the state. Both parties are engaged in a blame game, with each side criticizing the other for failing to address the growing problems.
While Rathore insists that Modi’s intervention is necessary to resolve the law and order situation, Gehlot accuses the Prime Minister of neglecting Manipur and making statements that have hurt Rajasthan’s sentiments. The situation remains tense, with no immediate solutions in sight. It is crucial for the government to take swift action to restore law and order and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
