West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari has claimed that the state’s law and order situation is in shambles. The politician alleged that political murders, including that of BJP leader Prashanta Ray Basunia in Dinhata, Cooch Behar district, are becoming the norm. Adhikari also accused the ruling party of obstructing fair investigations into such incidents and demanded a CBI investigation, claiming that influential people will influence the police. He further urged the Home Minister of West Bengal to resign immediately, as the situation continues to worsen. The politician revealed that many TMC party members in Dinhata are quitting the party and joining the BJP, which has rattled the top-level TMC leadership and resulted in the recent political murder.
