Drag Race icon Latrice Royale has been announced as a new host for the fourth season of the empowering LGBTQ+ series We’re Here. Alongside fellow Drag Race stars Priyanka, Jaida Essence Hall, and Sasha Velour, Royale will lend her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to the show’s newly-revamped format.
Previously, We’re Here followed Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara, and Shangela as they traveled to conservative states and small-town America to spread queer joy. However, the upcoming season will focus on two specific US towns, exploring local politics, anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment, and creating connections within the queer community.
Latrice Royale, who won Miss Congeniality during her original run on Drag Race in 2012, is one of the most well-known figures in the Drag Race universe. She has also appeared on All Stars 1 and 4 and was named one of New York magazine’s top 10 most powerful drag queens in America.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Royale wrote, I have officially joined the We’re Here family. Joining my sisters in efforts to spread love and awareness throughout this land. So excited and blessed.

Fans and fellow drag queens expressed their joy and support for Royale’s new role. Priyanka said, This is perfect, see you next week, while the Boulet Brothers from Dragula congratulated her, calling her a superstar.
The announcement of We’re Here season four comes at a crucial time, as the show’s co-creators Stephen Warren and Johnnie Ingram highlighted the importance of sharing LGBTQ+ stories in a political climate hostile towards the community. The show aims to document history and provide support to those facing discrimination and hate.
Great! If it was going to be a new cast it needed some legendary status and albeit a great trio – it just wasn’t giving EMMY. Now… BAYBEEE! It’s giving everything!

Latrice Royale, also known as Timothy Wilcots, is not only an LGBTQ+ activist but also a body-positivity advocate. During her run in the West End show Death Drop in 2022, she emphasized the importance of self-confidence despite societal pressures, stating that negativity about one’s appearance belongs to others, not oneself.
