A new biopic film titled ‘Tarla’ is releasing soon and has released the official teaser recently. The teaser of the film was shared on the OTT platform Zee5’s Instagram. Huma Qureshi plays the role of famous chef Tarla Dalal in the film.
The teaser shows the journey of Tarla Dalal’s life, her wish to do something more, and her struggles in achieving her dreams before becoming a professional chef. It also showcases her personal journey – her husband and family are shown in the teaser. The film is directed by Piyush Gupta and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Nitesh Tiwari and will be streamed on Zee5. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
Speaking about being a part of a biopic on Tarla Dalal, Huma Qureshi said that during her childhood, Tarla’s book used to be in her mother’s kitchen and she used to help her make the famous homemade mango ice cream along with other dishes. Huma also thanked Ronnie, Ashwini, and Nitesh for believing in her for playing an inspiring character. Tarla Dalal was an Indian food writer, chef, cookbook author, and host of cooking shows. She was awarded the Padmashree in 2007 in the culinary skills category.
Janhvi Kapoor also shared her mermaid look and BTS photos in support of the popular Disney movie remake, “The Little Mermaid” featuring Halle Bailey in the titular role. Furthermore, Manoj Bajpayee has released his courtroom drama “Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai”, which has been well-received by the viewers.
