India News: BSF Captures 86 Bangladeshi Cattle, 18 Arrested

The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura thwarted an illegal cattle trading operation on Sunday, May 28, 2021. The BSF seized 86 Myanmar breed cattle and arrested 18 people suspected of being involved in the illegal transportation of the cattle. Acting on an intelligence input, the BSF team intercepted 20 vehicles that were carrying livestock. During the search and seizure operation, the BSF team recovered a total of 86 livestock that were set to be transported in the vehicles.

The 105 Bn BSF Tripura were deployed to the tri-junction of Shivbari near Machalibazar, Police Station Manu, Dhalai in order to prevent the smuggling of any more livestock and to maintain the safety and security of the regions.

In response to the successful operation, the Frontier HQ Tripura commended the BSF team for their dedication and swift action in preventing any more illegal transportation of the livestock. Overall, the seizure of the 86 heads of cattle by the Border Security Force will significantly impede the illegal trade of cattle and ensure the safety of the local citizens.
