India’s Uttarakhand Cabinet Waives Fee for Kedarnath’s Shiv Udyan Construction

The Uttarakhand cabinet has waived the map fee for the construction of a Shiv Udyan and Chintan Sthals in Kedarnath, as well as the development of a new Chakrata township in Dehradun district. The cabinet has also given consent to transfer 26.08 hectares of forest land adjacent to the Haldwani Cricket Stadium to the Uttarakhand High Court. Telangana Establishes Anti-Narcotics and Cybersecurity Departments

The Telangana state government has launched two new bureaus aimed at combatting narcotics and cybercrimes. These bureaus, the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) and Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau, were launched by Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Prohibition & Excise Minister Srinivas Goud, and senior police officials at the Telangana State Police Integrated Command Control Centre (TSPICCC). The TSNAB, which aims to be a drug-free state, will function from the 12th and 13th floors of the TSPICCC’s B-Tower while the Cyber Security Bureau will operate from the second and third floors. Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand has been appointed as the director of the TSNAB, which will have a head office, four narcotics police stations, and seven regional narcotics control cells with 26 Narcotics Enforcement Wings in commissionerates and districts. The bureaus were launched just before the state’s 10th anniversary.

Shah orders prompt action to halt violence and reclaim stolen weapons in Manipur

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has instructed security agencies to take stern and swift action against armed groups in Manipur to prevent violence and recover looted weapons. The move came during Shah’s two-day visit to the state, where he held more than two dozen meetings to quell ethnic violence that has left at least 75 people dead and 300 injured since 3 May. Shah has also visited several relief camps, pledging to restore peace and harmony and ensure communities can return to their homes. Members of various ethnic groups, including Meitei, Kuki, Tamil, Nepali, Bihari, Rajasthani, Bengali and Punjabi, have been living in Moreh, 110 km from Imphal on the Myanmar border.

Minister Conducts Bhoomi Pujan for CC Road in Garoth, Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh’s State Finance Minister Jagdish Deora led the bhoomi pujan ceremony to commence the construction of a CC road and drain worth Rs 1 crore in Garoth village. Adityanath oversees the issuance process of ‘Family ID’ in India

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed the process of issuing unique Family ID cards to connect at least one member of each family with employment in the state. The cards come under the One Family-One Identity scheme and over 33,000 of the 78,000+ applications received have been approved thus far. These Family IDs will establish a live database of family units in the state, which will help better management of beneficiary schemes, allowing timely targeting, transparent operation and provide a simplified government service for the public. The database will also aid in identifying families without employment opportunities and ensuring they are given priority access to such opportunities.

Foundation Stone Laid for Shopping Complex in Pipalrawan, Madhya Pradesh

The town of Pipalrawan in Madhya Pradesh is set to see a major boost in development thanks to the construction of a shopping complex. Municipal council president Kavita Devnarayan Sharma laid the foundation stone for the project, which will cost Rs 56 lakh, on Wednesday. The shopping complex will be built in the location of the old municipal council office and will be comprised of 22 shops. The first land port along the India-Nepal border in India’s Uttar Pradesh state is set to open on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepalese counterpart Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will be virtually inaugurating the facility. The Rupaidiha Land Port, which is built on 115 acres of land, has cost about Rs 200 crores. Senior officials from both countries have worked together to facilitate cross-border movement of cargo trucks by bringing customs, immigration and other facilities of the two countries under one roof. The Land Port Authority of India is responsible for setting up integrated check posts on the country’s international borders to ensure the smooth movement of cargo and passenger vehicles.
