New Exam Controller Appointed in Indore: Thakur Replaced by Rachna as Incharge
The recent change in the leadership at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore has seen Rachna Thakur take over as incharge exam controller. This comes after Prof Renu Jain relieved SS Thakur from the role after the Department of Higher Education accepted his resignation. Thakur had resigned after being overlooked for a Rs 10,000 grade and an official vehicle, and although it was accepted a fortnight ago, he had only held the position for six months. He set a games record with a jump of 4.90m at the Guru Gobind Singh Sports College Campus. This was Siddharth’s first Khelo India University Games medal, and he dedicated it to his family for always supporting his pursuit of the sport. Kuldeep Kumar of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University won the silver, while M. Gautam of Madras University won the bronze, both with a jump of 4.80m. Siddharth’s aim is to become the best pole vaulter in the country and represent India in the world meet.
