Land for Delhi Metro’s Janakpuri-Majlis Park Station Approved at Keshopur

The Janakpuri to Majlis Park Corridor of the Delhi Metro Phase-IV has recently been approved by LG VK Saxena, allowing the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to acquire 2,790 sq metre of land at Keshopur from Irrigation and Flood Control Department. This approval has finally removed the hurdles in the path of completing this portion of the Delhi Metro. Out of the total land acquired, 1852.3 sq metre of land will be used for building the station, while 937.5 sq metre of land will be used on a temporary basis by DMRC as a working area for the station.

VK Saxena is the current Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. He is an ex-bureaucrat who served for 36 years for various departments and ministries like the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry, Planning Commission and Ministry of Finance. He has a keen interest in spiritualism, art and philosophy. He was recently in the news for approving the land transferring process for the Delhi Metro Janakpuri – Majlis Park corridor. He has also held the post of Principal Resident Commissioner of Delhi, Secretary and Commissioner in the Ministry of Urban Development and many more. Saxena’s approval for the land transferring process has finally enabled the completion of this much-awaited Delhi Metro Corridor.
