Tragedy struck in Mumbai’s Santacruz East area on Sunday afternoon when a labourer lost his life due to electrocution while cleaning a drain. The unfortunate incident took place while the individual was working at a private pathology center.
According to a fire official, the labourer was hired for the task of cleaning the drainage system, but unfortunately, he suffered an electric shock from a motor that was running at the site. Immediately, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite efforts to save him, he was declared brought dead on arrival. Currently, the Vakola police are conducting an investigation into his untimely death.
