Kritika Kamra’s Outstanding Performance in ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’ Earns Praise

Indian actress Kritika Kamra has captivated audiences with her exceptional acting skills in the crime thriller series ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’. The talented actress admitted, There were so many cuss words! I had prepared my parents beforehand. I wasn’t worried about my brother because he is younger and I could bully him. He wasn’t really surprised seeing me bully my on-screen brother in ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’. But my parents… I had told them about the cuss words before they started watching the show. I sat with them and said, ‘listen, there is going to be some bad language and disturbing violence, there will be violence and gore, so are you ready for it.’ So they watched the show expecting that only so they weren’t shocked. Also, my parents are my biggest cheerleaders and my worst critics. They never say anything bad to me. They were proud of me.

Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’ is adapted from S Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia’. Set against the backdrop of Bombay’s underworld, the series follows the rise of organized crime. Kay Kay Menon takes on the role of Ismail, a cop whose son, Dara (played by Avinash Tiwary), becomes entangled in the criminal world. Kamra shines as Habiba Kadri, Ismail’s daughter and Dara’s sister.

The gripping storyline combined with the talented cast has made ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’ an instant success. The show delves into the dark underbelly of the city and explores the complex dynamics of crime, family, and loyalty.
