Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal vowed to restart free yoga classes for Delhiites on the eve of International Yoga Day. He accused the central government of shutting down yoga classes where 17,000 people used to practice. He stated that public welfare programs like this should not be stopped. Kejriwal said that if one has good intentions, God also supports them, and despite Delhi’s Yoga classes being stopped, they started free yoga classes in Punjab, which is getting overwhelming support from people. The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually worldwide on June 21 since 2015. Kejriwal’s announcement was to ensure yoga classes benefit as many people as possible, believing they are a great way to inspire fitness.
