Keegan Bartley, a former player and assistant coach at Grundy High School, has been appointed as the new head football coach, replacing Craig Plymal. Bartley graduated in 2011 and played left tackle during his senior year. He then joined the football staff in 2012 and stayed as an assistant coach ever since. Last season, Grundy went 8-5, winning the Black Diamond District and Region 1D championships but lost to George Wythe in the state semifinals. Plymal stepped down after seven seasons leading the Golden Wave, where he compiled a 44-31 record. Bartley aims to continue Grundy’s winning legacy and lead the team to more victories.
