Karnataka volleyball team stranded in Howrah station due to Odisha tragedy provided with flight tickets for Bangalore

Karnataka Labor Minister Santosh Lad announced on June 3 that arrangements had been made to transport 32 members of the state’s volleyball team back to Bengaluru from Kolkata. The team had been stranded at Howrah railway station after returning from a tournament. Flight tickets have been booked for the team following the train accident in Balasore, Odisha. They are set to depart Kolkata on June 4 at 4:15 a.m. and arrive in Bengaluru at 6:50 a.m. via Indigo airlines. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also sent a team of five, led by Lad, to help people from Karnataka affected by the accident. The team will assess the situation and visit Bhadrak district hospital to offer assistance and support.
