The meeting aimed to ensure that the public is not inconvenienced during the monsoon season. The officials have been asked to prepare to face any situation in the low-lying and hilly areas that have been identified. Control rooms will be opened, and local organizations will be involved. The fishermen community has also been approached to keep their boats available in case of an emergency. Mangalore Electricity Supply Company and the Forest Department will work together, and officials will be held responsible for any lapses. Additionally, immediate compensation of Rs 10,000 has been directed to be released in case of damages to houses during the monsoon.
