Karnataka Samskrutika – Sahitya Parishat is set to be inaugurated on May 28 in Mysore/Mysuru. The event is scheduled to be launched by the State President Savitha Shastri at 10.30 am in the Town Hall. Melukote Vangeepura Mutt’s Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji will grace the function, and social worker Dr. Raghuram Vajapayee will inaugurate. The inaugural ceremony will be accompanied by a series of cultural programmes and a free eye-check-up camp by Annapoorna Eye Hospital from 10.30 am to 2 pm. Shreshta Kala Sevaratna Rajya Prashasti and Shreshta Nagarika Sevaratna Rajya Prashasti will also be awarded to achievers. Further, mothers of martyr soldiers, women civic workers and transgenders will be honored in the ceremony.
Karnataka Samskrutika – Sahitya Parishat is a non-profit organization, which focuses on bringing together different literary works, performing arts, and cultural activities throughout Karnataka. The organization is based in Mysore/Mysuru and has been engaged in activities that are aimed at promoting traditional art and literature for the last 70 years. The Parishat has also been organizing conferences and workshops, cultural programmes, writing competitions, and other creative activities to engage and promote the culture of the state as well as its art, literature, and language.
Savitha Shastri has been at the helm of Karnataka Samskrutika – Sahitya Parishat as its State President since 2018. Coming from an educational background in humanities, Savitha has a vision for protecting and promoting the culture of Karnataka. She has been focusing on introducing new projects and activities for the benefit of the people and society. She is also the owner of i-ACLS India Pvt. Ltd, a software development company located in Mysore/Mysuru.
Through the inaugural ceremony of Karnataka Samskrutika – Sahitya Parishat on May 28, Savitha Shastri aims to create a platform for like-minded people to come together to share their knowledge, create new opportunities, and build a strong foundation for the culture of Karnataka.
