Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah recently praised Jayadeva Hospital and described it as a model for other government hospitals to follow. Speaking at the Florence Nightingale Nurses Awards ceremony, Siddaramaiah expressed his goal of improving treatment and service quality in government hospitals, emphasizing the importance of government and health workers working together with determination.
The Chief Minister congratulated the awardees and presented the Nightingale Award to 12 nurses and Dr. Sanjay M. Peerapur. The event was held in collaboration with the Health Department and Indian Unity Center at the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha.
Siddaramaiah commended the nursing profession, saying that it is the most sacred one, and that nurses are the true caretakers of all patients. He added that if the nurses work with a smile, half the disease will be cured and their confidence is the cure for many diseases.
He highlighted the importance of honesty, service spirit, and diligence in creating a system like Jayadeva Hospital in other government hospitals. The Chief Minister praised the quality, cleanliness, and discipline upheld by Jayadeva Hospital, and said that it is possible to create the same system in other government hospitals.
The event was attended by Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao and senior officials of the department. Siddaramaiah’s statement with regards to improving government hospitals and its service quality is commendable, and such initiatives are essential for the betterment of healthcare facilities.
