Actor and comedian Kanwarjit Paintal is mourning the loss of his brother Gufi Paintal, who passed away on Monday morning. He fondly remembers him as a father-like figure and a talented actor who has left a mark on people’s hearts. Gufi was a multifaceted personality, who worked as an actor, casting director, assistant director, production manager, and director. Despite starting his career as an engineer, he shifted to acting due to his passion and was known for his roles in Rafoo Chakkar, Dillagi, and Des Pardes.
Kanwarjit played a significant role in Gufi’s acting career as he was already an established name in the entertainment industry. As an assistant director, Gufi worked with renowned filmmaker Rahul Rawail. He also worked as the casting director of the popular mythological TV show Mahabharat, which helped his career graph go up. Following this, he did several TV shows, direction, and became a well-known face of the entertainment industry. Some of his notable works include CID, Ssshhhh…Koi Hai, Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein, and the film Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
