A juvenile boy has been apprehended by the police in Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar area for sexually assaulting a minor girl. According to the police, the incident took place on June 5, and they received information from LBS Hospital regarding the sexual assault of a minor girl. The girl was undergoing treatment at the hospital, and her parents were also present.
The police officials said that the accused juvenile boy lived in the victim’s house as a tenant, and a case has been registered under section 376 IPC and 6 POCSO Act. The accused has been sent to a juvenile home.
The police further informed that the magistrate would soon record the victim’s statement under section 164 CrPC. The investigation is still ongoing.
