Determined to upscale project management skills of Nigerian youths, Junior Achievement Nigeria will in collaboration with Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF), train senior secondary school students on the effective ways of assessing projects and business initiatives.
The initiative, themed ‘Elevating Project Management in Youth Ecosystems,’ is scheduled for January 15th to June 2024, and will focus on teaching young people in Senior Secondary Schools, project management skills and empower them to proficiently track and monitor projects in the future.
The training is expected to foster student development by offering them guidance that will enable them to launch business ventures and enrich their learning experiences.
Foluso Gbadamosi, executive director of Junior Achievement Nigeria, said the objectives of the training programme align with the organisations commitment to investing in young people, equipping them with relevant skills, and instilling a project management mindset within them.
She said the programme will also empower Junior Achievement staff with the essential skills required for effective monitoring and evaluation of prospective business initiatives.
Gbadamosi further said the partnership with Project Management Institute Educational Foundation has enabled JA Nigeria to reach students on a national scale.
She said JA Nigeria has also leveraged the expertise, resources, and network of PMIEF to deliver high-quality training and support to students.
