Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren recently declared the opening of a Digital Skills University in the state, in order to provide job-oriented education to the less educated youth. A sum of approximately three to four hundred crores will be invested in the establishment of the university.
The aim of the Digital Skills University is to offer employment opportunities to individuals who may lack higher education qualification. The youth in Jharkhand may be equipped with the technical skills they require to access to these employment opportunities.
Soren also addressed the students of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Ranchi during the 2nd Convocation of the institute. He said, “In the age of technology, we have seen an expansion in the field of education. Institutions like IIT-ISM, BIT Mesra, IIM, XLRI and NIT have come up in the country and IIIT was established in Ranchi too.” He acknowledged that the youth of Jharkhand have acquired a respected place in the field of education in India and properties.
Not just in education, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently discussed the new era of development and peace being witnessed in Assam, which could be attributed to the recent developmental projects undertaken in the state. Additionally, Germany was recently reported to have engaged in a series of raids, receiving further criticism from the public who began protesting against them.
Nevertheless, the Digital Skills University will be instrumental in allowing those who lack formal qualifications or educational credentials to receive the necessary professional training and develop their skills to fit the demands of the job market. This will open up fresh opportunities, especially for the youth of the state, thereby improving the lives of many in Jharkhand.
