The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has declared its support for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in opposing the central ordinance on control of administrative services in Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren met in Ranchi and announced their plan to defeat the ordinance collectively in the Parliament. Kejriwal stated that the AAP government must be allowed to function independently, and that the ordinance is undemocratic, against the federal structure and unconstitutional. Soren expressed concern over the Centre’s attack on democracy, stating that elected non-BJP governments were being systematically targeted. Both leaders appealed to other parties and citizens to support AAP against this anti-people ordinance.
