In a recent post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), she revealed that she would vote for a third-party candidate over her former client, even in a hypothetical general election between Trump and Joe Biden. This announcement comes as a blow to Trump, as Ellis expresses her disillusionment with him as a candidate. Ellis, who now hosts a podcast and radio show, was previously indicted alongside Trump and 17 others in a case related to alleged election interference in Georgia during the 2020 elections. She pleaded guilty to one felony count in October 2023 and subsequently endorsed DeSantis. It is worth noting that while DeSantis currently trails behind Trump and Nikki Haley in the Iowa polls, national polling data suggests that Trump remains the favored candidate for the 2024 GOP nomination.
