Jason Momoa faced criticism on social media after a video went viral, allegedly showing him inappropriately touching his daughter at a public event. The Hollywood star, known for his roles in Game of Thrones and Aquaman, was captured in the video standing with his children Lola Iolani and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha, whom he shares with his ex-wife Lisa Bonet.
Twitter users quickly shared the video, expressing their concerns about Momoa’s actions. One user labeled the actor as a pedophile and condemned his behavior. However, there were also supporters who defended him, interpreting the interaction as that of a protective father and highlighting the awkwardness for a child of that age when shown affection in public.
As of now, Momoa has not addressed the criticism. The actor recently separated from his wife of more than 15 years, Lisa Bonet. Despite the split, Momoa maintains a close relationship with Bonet’s daughter from her previous marriage to Lenny Kravitz, Zoe Kravitz.
In terms of his career, Momoa is set to reprise his role as Arthur Curry in the highly anticipated film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, directed by James Wan. The movie is reported to be an action-adventure story, emphasizing a fun bromance between Arthur and his brother Orm. While Orm was a villain in the first installment, this time Arthur needs him.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom also stars Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Temuera Morrison, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Patrick Wilson, and Dolph Lundgren. Joining the cast for the upcoming action flick are Indya Moore and Jani Zhao.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 20, providing fans with another thrilling underwater adventure.
