A Jan Suvidha Kendra operator in Greater Noida was allegedly attacked and looted of Rs 4.12 lakh in cash by two unknown assailants while returning home from work, according to police reports. The incident occurred around 9.30 pm on Monday in Accheja village under the limits of Badalpur Police Station. Vikram Singh was riding his scooter when the miscreants intercepted him and hit him with a pistol butt. They then fled with the cash and some documents carried by Singh in a bag. A Jan Suvidha Kendra is a digital platform that offers an array of services in remote areas of the country, including money transfer, bill payments, loans, credit cards and insurance, run by private operators. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Rajiv Dixit said an FIR is being registered at the Badalpur police station and three teams have been deployed to investigate the incident. The case will be resolved soon, assured Dixit.
