The Deputy Commissioner and other officials of Jammu held a meeting on Saturday to review the arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra in 2023. The objective of the meeting was to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place to allow for a smooth pilgrimage.
The Deputy Commissioner provided a detailed review of the arrangements, focusing specifically on the registration counters for pilgrims. She wanted to ensure that the necessary facilities were in place and distributed responsibilities for the nodal officers at different registration counters.
Pilgrims will be able to register online, and there will also be a number of Tatkal registration counters available for seers. The meeting revealed that RIFD and e-KYC will be available at the counters, and a token counter will be put up to manage the crowd at the Saraswati Dham.
The Deputy Commissioner gave instructions for the nodal officers to visit their respective counters and conduct a test run of the facilities before June 25. It is hoped that this will ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience for all participants.
