On Saturday, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar paid a two-day visit to Gujarat and went to the Chotubhai Purani College of Physical Education sports complex. He shared his encouragement for the fitness level and passion for sports shown amongst people there with a tweet. Jaishankar mentioned his belief that enthusiasm for sports and fitness were present across generations.
The previous day, the EAM had performed Bhoomi Pujan (the Indian tradition of offering prayers to Mother Earth before the beginning of construction work) of two ‘Smart Anganwadis’ in the Narmada district. He emphasized the importance of strengthening health and Anganwadis by focusing on the Smart Anganwadis. He was thankful for being present with regional MP Geeta Ben Rathwa ji and expressed his hope that the facilities built would be of great use to its constituents.
Jaishankar also visited Malsamot village in Dediapada taluka of the district, where he announced two new Anganwadis and one health and wellness centre from MPLADS. He took notice of Nari Shakti Kendra of Malasmot and Ekta Skill Development Centre in Kevadia and appreciated the partnership of the Happy Faces Foundation. His final stop was at Bhadod village in Sagbara where he was present at the third model village of the region.
The External Affairs Minister visited Rajpipala to encourage people’s level of fitness and get an up-close view of the health and Anganwadis projects in Gujarat. His dedication to working towards the betterment of the local population showed in his two-day visit, making it a success.
