A canine member of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was seen joining in on International Yoga Day celebrations in Jammu and Kashmir. Positioned among police personnel participating in a Yoga Day event in Udhampur, the dog appeared to demonstrate how to do the downward dog correctly by rolling on the ground and mimicking the poses of human participants. In a video of the event, the dog barked occasionally, seemingly expressing approval. Deputy Commandant Gaurav Shah said that the canine members work under stress like other police personnel, and are thus included in yoga sessions. The theme of this year’s Yoga Day is Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which emphasizes the spirit of unity and inclusivity.
