The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will showcase the success of its Chandrayaan-3 mission on this year’s Republic Day parade. The ISRO Tableau participating in the event will highlight the launch and successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon’s south pole. The landing site has been named Shiv Shakti Point.

India achieved a historic milestone on August 23, 2023, when the Chandrayaan-3 lander module successfully touched down on the moon’s south pole. This accomplishment made India the first country to achieve a soft landing in this region. The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 and the launch of India’s first solar mission, Aditya-L1, in 2023 demonstrated India’s growing prowess in space exploration.

India has several ambitious future missions in the pipeline, including the Gaganyaan Mission planned for 2024-2025. The country also aims to establish the ‘Bharatiya Antariksha Station’ by 2035 and send the first Indian astronaut to the moon by 2040. These endeavors highlight India’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of space exploration.

The Republic Day parade will showcase a total of 25 tableaux, including 16 from various states and union territories and 9 from central government departments. The chief guest at the event will be French President Emmanuel Macron, who will be visiting India for the 75th Republic Day celebrations. President Macron is scheduled to arrive in Jaipur on January 25 and will begin his visit by touring the Amber Fort.

Republic Day is celebrated every year on January 26 to commemorate the day when India’s Constitution came into effect in 1950. The parade is a significant event that showcases the nation’s progress and achievements in various fields.

As the ISRO Tableau takes center stage during the Republic Day parade, it serves as a symbol of India’s extraordinary achievements in space exploration. The success of Chandrayaan-3’s landing on the moon’s south pole underscores India’s determination to reach new heights and contribute to the global space community. With ambitious plans for future missions, India is poised to make even greater strides in the field of space exploration.
