Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi also condemned the incident, vowing that those responsible would soon be punished for their cowardly and heinous actions. The explosions occurred as people had gathered to commemorate the fourth anniversary of Soleimani’s death. The Iranian government has declared a day of national mourning, and an investigation into the cause of the blasts is currently underway.
