International Cooperation Key to Advance Vaccine Development for Emerging Pathogens

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized the need for international cooperation in advancing vaccine research and development for emerging pathogens during his address at the Global Vaccine Research Collaborative Discussion on Vaccine Research and Development, a G20 co-branded event in Hyderabad, India. Mandaviya stated that the G20 could serve as a vital platform to facilitate collaboration between governments, research organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders. He also highlighted India’s leadership in vaccine production and distribution and its initiatives to boost vaccine production and distribution. The event set the tone for discussions leading up to the 3rd G20 Health Working Group meeting.
