An intense rescue operation is currently underway in Gujarat’s Dwarka as officials from the Army and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) join hands to rescue a three-year-old girl who fell into a borewell in Ran village on Monday. The young girl, Angel Sakhra, was playing in the front yard of her family’s residence when she slipped into the open borewell at around 1 pm. Dwarka District Collector Ashok Sharma and other senior officials are closely monitoring the rescue operation. Eyewitnesses have reported hearing the cries of the girl child periodically, and the health department has deployed a team to pump oxygen into the borewell.
