The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) recently organized an empowering idea pitching session for startups in J&K. The event, held in collaboration with various stakeholders, provided an invaluable platform for startups to present their innovative ideas and seek support from experienced professionals in the industry.
Under the leadership of Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce, J&K, JKEDI has been organizing a series of events to promote entrepreneurship in the region. These events include Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs, Entrepreneurship Training programs, and Startup and idea pitching workshops.
The idea pitching session at JKEDI was a unique opportunity for startups from J&K to showcase their innovative ideas. Some notable startups included Aspire Educational Service Private Limited, Sky Robo Drones Private Limited, NEKOD Software Solutions Private Limited, United Floritech, Walnut Willie, and Kashmir Kraft.
What made this event unique was its hybrid format, allowing startups from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir to connect and present their ideas remotely. This inclusion of virtual participation further expanded the event’s reach and ensured that startups from all corners of the region could participate. In total, more than 100 aspiring and established entrepreneurs took part in the event.
The pitching session served as a platform for entrepreneurs to present their business models, demonstrating their potential to address key challenges and contribute to the socio-economic growth of the UT. The participating startups showcased their passion, ingenuity, and resilience, impressing investors and mentors with their vision for positive change.

We were impressed by the talent and innovative solutions presented by these startups. They have the potential to become drivers of economic progress in Jammu and Kashmir. Our focus is to support Agri-based businesses and any environment-friendly and sustainable startups that can drive the economy of J&K, said one of the investors.
