The Infrastructure Finance Secretariat (IFS) under India’s Finance Ministry has launched a revamped website with the aim of attracting private investment in the infrastructure sector. The IFS has renamed and rebranded its website to enhance its value to stakeholders involved in public-private partnerships (PPPs) in the country. The website aims to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors by bringing together government entities, private companies, investors, and entrepreneurs to facilitate collaboration and innovation for sustainable growth.
The IFS is constantly introducing interventions to establish an enabling ecosystem for infrastructure development and delivery, and the revamped website is part of this commitment. To promote the Digital India initiative, the IFS has launched the India Infrastructure Project Development Fund (IIPDF) Portal for submitting applications for the IIPDF scheme. The online portal will significantly reduce processing time, involve less paperwork, and help the Public Sector Authorities (PSAs) who wish to obtain speedy and time-bound project approvals.
The IFS is also launching similar online portals to the website for online applications for the Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee and VGF Scheme. The website will serve as a digital platform dedicated to promoting and facilitating public-private partnerships (PPPs) and promoting the growth of infrastructure development in India.
The IFS aims to usher in private investment in infrastructure by setting up an enabling ecosystem for infrastructure development and delivery.
