The US-India Business Council (USIBC) president, Atul Keshap, believes that the new India-US Defence Acceleration Ecosystem, INDUS-X, will stimulate a culture of shared innovation in defence technology between the two countries. The ecosystem has been launched in partnership with the US Department of Defence and India’s Department for Defence Production. It will enable important startups from both countries to showcase new technologies that are relevant to defence and space. Keshap stated that by investing in startup relationships, the two countries could strengthen their defence capabilities, protect their core values, and support a rules-based order. The INDUS-X exhibition display will feature next-generation satellites, drones and other autonomous systems, advanced robotics, stealth technology, temperature-resistant combat apparel, novel artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and state-of-the-art imaging systems. Keshap affirmed that this initiative showcased the full power of free enterprise, with the exhibition demonstrating the full potential of the two countries’ free enterprise systems.
