Mumbai is renowned for its technology-related entrepreneurial activities, and the Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai (TEAM) is a non-profit organization that works to propel the city’s tech ecosystem. This June 3rd, the association will be launching the inaugural edition of MumbaiHacks, an event that fosters creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the local startup space. Spanning over two days with a 22-hour total build duration, the event is expected to become one of the top hackathons in the country.
MumbaiHacks is open for registration to all professionals engaged with engineering, product development, and design, and no fees will be taken for participation. The event also presents three distinct themes: Generative AI, Cyber-security, and the especially intriguing Solve for Mumbai track that encourages tech and problem-solving enthusiasts to come up with solutions to the multiple issues the city has faced. The development of these solutions utilizes advanced technologies to provide an effective response to the varied needs of this metropolis.
On the commencement day, the hackathon will begin at 12 noon and end at 2 pm with sign-up and introductory workshops. During the plus 22-hour continuous working period, participants will have the chance to build their ideas and apply their skills with the help of certified engineers and CTOs. The second day will consist of a shortlist of projects, a discussion about the tech trends from Mumbai, as well as solution presentations from the competition’s top 15 teams.
A panel of judges including Neeraj Roy, Amit Kumar Gupta, Aakash Kumar, Vivek Khemani, Dharmesh Vaya, and Aakrit Vaish has been gathered to witness the presentations and name the winners. Each track winner will be receiving a monetary prize of one lakh rupees.
Apart from providing a distinctive hackathon experience, MumbaiHacks also offers networking and recognition opportunities for the engaged talent, intending to create an environment in which collaboration and community building are both fostered and celebrated.
