Epsilon Advanced Materials (EAM), a leading battery materials company in India, has announced it will invest $650 million in a facility to produce EV battery components in the US. The proposed 50,000 TPA synthetic graphite anode manufacturing facility will supply high-capacity anode materials produced through green technologies and will provide critical battery materials to power more than one million electric vehicles. The facility will create over 1,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities and generate a revenue of more than $500 million at full capacity by 2031. The facility is expected to be commissioned by 2026. The company said it’s excited to bring their India-patented anode manufacturing technology to the US and leverage it to contribute to the US’s vision for the EV battery ecosystem.
