India’s successful development of digital infrastructure, including the unified payments interface (UPI) and Aadhaar, can serve as a case study for nations seeking to expand their own digital public infrastructure, according to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT. Speaking at the Global Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Summit in Pune, Chandrasekhar urged governments to recognise the importance of cybersecurity in digital economies and work to address threats on a global scale. He also launched the One Future Alliance, aimed at bringing together stakeholders to shape the future of DPIs. The summit attracted around 300 senior delegates, including 150 foreign delegates from 46 countries.
