Actress Sonali Bendre and choreographer Geeta Kapur, who are judges on the dance reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer 3’, recently took a trip down memory lane during the show’s ‘Baarish Special’ episode. The judges shared their childhood monsoon memories while being impressed by the performances of the contestants.
One of the contestants, Aniket Chauhan, along with his choreographer Kartik Raja, delivered a stunning performance to the song ‘Maston Ka Jhund’ from the film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. The act received a standing ovation from Sonali Bendre and Geeta Kapur, which prompted them to reminisce about their own experiences associated with the monsoon season.
Sonali Bendre fondly recalled the joy of the first rain, saying, The most beautiful time is when it rains for the first time. The earth emits such a beautiful fragrance which seems to be missing nowadays. I prefer watching the rain from inside my home, through my window. During my childhood, we used to get soaked in the rain. It made us feel good running outside and enjoying the monsoon season! We continued this tradition until college. However, after entering the world of movies, rain scenes became more of a challenge. We would be in the water all day long, and the idea of romance during the day disappeared.
The episode also featured a heartwarming moment where the judges and contestants, reliving their childhood memories, made paper boats and reminisced about the sound of raindrops hitting containers. Geeta Kapur, known as a monsoon baby, mentioned the distinct sound of raindrops falling and how the present is different from those days.
The special ‘Baarish Special’ episode of ‘India’s Best Dancer 3′ will air this weekend on Sony Entertainment Television, capturing the nostalgic monsoon memories of the judges and bringing the contestants closer to their childhood experiences with rain.
