Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi announced that the national president of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), Santosh Suman, will visit the national capital to meet with various political leaders including those from NDA. This comes after HAM withdrew its support for the Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar. Manjhi added that Suman will also try to meet with leaders from BSP, Congress, Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi. The move comes amid party expansion and a search for third-front possibilities. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM has four MLAs in the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly. The party is expected to inform the people of its final decision in 3-4 days after submitting a letter of withdrawal of support to the Bihar government to the Governor.
