India: UP CM Orders Inquiry into Dudhwa Tiger Deaths

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has ordered an investigation into the untimely deaths of two to three tigers in Dudhwa National Park in Lakhimpur. The authorities will look into the cause of the deaths and produce a detailed report. The Chief Minister‘s Office issued a statement, saying that CM Yogi Adityanath had taken notice of the deaths and instructed the Forest Minister, Additional Chief Secretary of Forest, and other officers of the Forest Department to conduct an urgent investigation. The investigation comes after reports emerged that the tigers had died in the last few days, sparking concerns for the welfare of the remaining tigers at the park.
