India Could Harness the Power of its Growing Population for Nation Building, says Dr. Jitendra

India’s population could serve as an instrument for nation-building, according to Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, and PMO. Speaking at an event commemorating nine years of the Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare, Singh suggested that India’s young and elderly citizens could use their skills and experience to build a prosperous future. He said the number of people aged 60 or over was rising, and that pensioners could make a significant difference to India’s Vision of 2047. Singh also praised the department for introducing digital innovations, including the online submission of the digital life certificate.
