Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the United States has highlighted the strong partnership between the US and India, according to the Director of the National Travel and Tourism Office in the US, Brian Beall. Beall, who is also Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Travel and Tourism, said that the trip was a great opportunity under the G20 to really demonstrate the economic importance of travel and tourism to all G20 member countries and really explore ways we can collaborate together going forward. The bilateral talks between India and the US taking place in Goa are also an opportunity to discuss ways to grow travel and tourism between the two countries, Beall said. It is an opportunity to discuss what we can do and the way we can continue to partner to grow Travel and Tourism between the United States and India in both directions. It’s a great opportunity for us to continue to see the places and meet the people that make both of our destinations truly unrivalled, he added. Speaking about his experience in Goa, Beall said that he was grateful to the Ministry of Tourism and the people of Goa for welcoming him and that he was excited to come back for another visit, having had the opportunity to experience some of the local cuisine and sites.
