The Indian and American governments have launched the India-United States Defence Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) aimed at co-developing and co-producing advanced technologies with startups from both countries. Anurag Bajpai, Joint Secretary (Defence Industries Promotion), urged participants to create collaboration mechanisms for future endeavours across industries, academia, and investors. The two-day event was organised by Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX), the Ministry of Defence, and the US Department of Defence, and hosted by the US-India Business Council. US Secretary of the Air Force, Frank Kendall, said the India-US relationship has immense possibilities for startups to collaborate and innovate in deep-tech, particularly in the space and artificial intelligence domains. An INDUS-X fact sheet was released at the event.
