India and the Philippines Strengthen Cooperation in Various Sectors

During the Fifth Meeting of the Joint Commission on Bilateral Affairs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, Enrique A. Manalo, and his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, expressed their interest in strengthening defense cooperation through regular or enhanced interaction at the official level. They also discussed the possibility of opening an attaché office in Manila.

Additionally, they praised the ratification of the agreement on the assistance of Indian grants for quick impact projects in the Philippines—an agreement signed in February 2023.
