Independent Candidates Sweep Local Government By-Elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In the recent Local Government by-elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, independent candidates emerged as the dominant force. Out of the 72 contested seats, independent candidates secured victory in a whopping 40 seats, according to the unofficial results released by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
