Hrithik Roshan, the well-known Indian actor, recently took to Instagram to pay tribute to his late grandfather, music director Roshan, on what would have been his 106th birthday. Hrithik shared a heartfelt note alongside a throwback picture, expressing his admiration and pride for the musical legacy his grandfather left behind.

In his Instagram post, Hrithik stated, Today marks the 106th birth anniversary of my Daduji – Roshan, whose name I inherit. Although I never had the honor of meeting him, learning from him, or physically experiencing his love, I am blessed with a priceless treasure: his work… his music. Hrithik praised his grandfather’s songs for being the foundation of the Roshan family’s journey, and he expressed immense pride in being a part of such an extraordinary lineage.

Roshan was a renowned music director known for his timeless compositions. Some of his popular songs include ‘Khayalon mein Kisike,’ ‘Main Dil Hoon Ek Armaan Bhara,’ ‘Na toh karvaan ki talaash hai,’ ‘Aapne Yaad Dilaya,’ and ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag,’ among many others. Hrithik chose to celebrate his grandfather’s legacy by sharing one of his favorite songs, emphasizing that his grandfather never had the chance to witness the song’s success as he passed away shortly after recording it at just 40 years old.

Fans flooded the comment section with love and admiration for Roshan’s exceptional musical talent and legacy. One fan described it as the Roshan Legacy, while another expressed admiration for his incredible work, stating that future generations could learn pure music by exploring his outstanding compositions. Many shared personal connections to his music, with one fan mentioning that their mother was and still is a fan of Roshan’s work.

Roshan, who was the father of music director Rajesh Roshan and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, sadly passed away in 1967, but his music continues to inspire and captivate audiences to this day.

Regarding Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming projects, he is set to star in the aerial action thriller film ‘Fighter’ alongside Deepika Padukone. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on January 25, 2024. Additionally, Hrithik will also be seen in ‘War 2’ alongside Jr NTR and Kiara Advani.

The heartfelt tribute from Hrithik Roshan to his grandfather serves as a reminder of the enduring power of music and the impact it can have across generations. The late Roshan’s legacy lives on, leaving an indelible mark on the Indian film industry and in the hearts of music lovers around the world.
