Horsham Spring Garden Festival Returns After Four-Year Hiatus
After a four-year absence, the Horsham Spring Garden Festival is making a comeback this weekend. The festival, sponsored by the Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC), will take place at the Horsham Botanic Gardens on both Saturday and Sunday, from 9am to 5pm.
Gardening enthusiasts and visitors alike can expect a delightful showcase of floral displays, plants, and gardening exhibits. With a 30-year history, the festival has been eagerly anticipated by the local community. Unfortunately, it couldn’t be held since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the floods in Horsham last year.
The council’s parks and gardens staff have been working diligently to make the event a success. The Botanic Gardens have been transformed into a beautiful space with a shaded food court, various exhibitors, and areas designated for activities.
The festival will kick off on Saturday at 9am with a warm welcome and the opening of the trading booths. Festival Chairperson Don Papst will entertain the attendees with musical performances. At 2pm, Horsham Rural City Council deputy mayor Penny Flynn will officially inaugurate the festival.
On Sunday, there will be an exhibitors presentation at 10am. A raffle will also be drawn, and words of gratitude will be expressed at 3pm.
Throughout both days, keynote speaker Vasili Kanidiadis will host informative talks and answer questions at 11am and 2pm. His expertise in gardening will undoubtedly provide valuable insights to all attendees.
