Horse-World Celebrity Exposed: Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze’s Shocking Fake Cancer Claims Unveiled

Canadian Olympic champion showjumper, Eric Lamaze, finds himself in the midst of a scandal after allegedly submitting false documents claiming he had brain cancer. The shocking revelation emerged during ongoing litigation over a disputed horse sale, leaving Lamaze’s own attorney stunned and speechless.

According to court filings, Lamaze’s legal team filed a request in July to delay the trial, citing his battle with metastatic brain cancer. They argued that Lamaze’s cognitive impairment required more time to prepare adequately. His attorney even submitted an affidavit accompanied by photographs that purportedly showed the showjumper’s disfigured face after surgery.

However, when the plaintiff’s lawyers requested to review the metadata of the images, Lamaze’s attorney objected, instead asking for them to be struck from the record. This raised suspicions and led to further examination of the supposed medical documents. What followed was a shocking discovery: the medical records were exposed as forgeries.

Lamaze’s lawyers had also submitted a copy of his medical records, allegedly written by a Dutch doctor named Oulad Taib. However, the plaintiff’s attorney became immediately skeptical as the document was incomprehensible and the doctor’s name was listed differently on his website. Moreover, the doctor confirmed that the signature on the purported report was not his and that he did not speak Dutch.

This is not the first time Lamaze has been embroiled in controversy over his health claims. In 2019, he claimed to be on his deathbed due to brain cancer in an attempt to avoid a deposition. However, he was later found to have successfully participated in equestrian events in Florida during that period.

Lamaze’s attorney is now seeking to be removed as his counsel, and the Olympic champion has been ordered to pay approximately $30,000 in costs to the plaintiffs. Failure to comply would automatically validate the plaintiffs’ claims.

While Lamaze has yet to respond to these latest revelations, he has offered conflicting statements in separate interviews. He expressed unawareness of the letters and documents submitted to the court but acknowledged some dishonesty, claiming it was to protect certain doctors. The showjumper’s credibility and integrity are now under serious scrutiny.

It remains to be seen whether Lamaze will pay the required costs and defend the case. The plaintiffs’ attorney doubts Lamaze’s compliance, emphasizing that it is ultimately his choice. As this scandal continues to unfold, the horse-world celebrity’s reputation hangs in the balance, tarnished by the shocking disclosure of fake cancer claims.
