Madhya Pradesh‘s Home Minister, Dr Narottam Mishra, has spoken out against AIMIM President, Asaduddin Owaisi, for questioning government action against Ganga Jamna School in Damoh and terming it wrong. Owaisi had condemned the government’s action, claiming that the school did not force anyone to wear hijab. Despite this, the Minister has instructed Damoh’s SP to investigate the case from all angles, including the foreign tours of the school officials, and to look into the conversion of two to three teachers from Hinduism to Islam. Mishra has also reiterated his stance on religious conversion, stating that it will be dealt with strongly.
The Ganga Jamna School is currently facing allegations of forcing female students to wear a headscarf, which has led to a widespread investigation. The school officials have also faced allegations of possible links to terror funding, leading to the BJP State President seeking a probe against the school. Mishra has criticised Owaisi’s jihadi mentality, stating that he failed to comment on the sensational murder case of Sakshi and Sharddha.
The controversy surrounding the school has sparked heated debate, with supporters denouncing the allegations as an attempt to demonise the Muslim community. However, those against the school have called for a thorough investigation of the allegations to ensure that there is no bias.
Overall, the government is determined to investigate the matter thoroughly and put an end to religious conversion, which has become a contentious issue in the country. As the investigation continues, all parties are urged to exercise restraint and work together to find a peaceful resolution to the case.
